Add Classes

To enroll in courses, you must add each class to your schedule via the Student Administration System.

After logging in, navigate to Add Classes by clicking:

  • Self Service in the menu, then the Student Center link.

  • Click the Enroll link to access the enrollment tools.The Enroll tab displays with the add tool selected.

There are three steps to adding classes. 

  • Step 1: The first step is to add each class to your enrollment shopping cart.

Steps

You can add classes to your cart in three ways:

1. Enter the class number of the course.

Each class has a unique number corresponding to it. The class number is found in the Schedule of Classes.

Before a class is added to your enrollment cart, you can edit the enrollment preferences.

For instance, if a permission number is required to register for a course, you can enter it here.

Or, the class may be for a variable number of credits. In this case, be sure to update the Units field to the correct number of credits. If you enroll in a variable credit course and do not update the Units field, the system will default to 1.00 credit.

Click the Next button to add the course to your enrollment cart.Next

You can then add another class to your enrollment cart or move on to Step 2.

2. Search for a class in the Schedule of Classes by clicking the search button.

Begin by entering the search criteria.

Click the Search button to locate classes meeting the criteria selected. Search

To add a class to your enrollment cart, click the select class button.

If you do not need to edit the enrollment preferences, click the Next button to add the class to your enrollment cart. Next

You can then add another class to your enrollment cart or move on to Step 2.

3. Select classes you need from your Advisement Report.

By viewing your academic requirements, you can easily identify which requirements have not yet been met. 
Requirements you have met will appear collapsed.

Scroll down to view requirements not yet met.
Click a Course Description link for more information.

The Course Details display.
You can view the class sections for the selected course by the view class sections button.

The results include OpenOpen and Closed closedsections.    
You can add a section to your enrollment cart by clicking the select button.

Before the class is added to your cart, you can edit the enrollment preferences. If you do not need to edit the enrollment preferences, click the Next button. next

After clicking Next you return to the the Course Details of the class just added.

You can click Return to My Academic Requirements to add another class, or you can click the click here link to go to the enrollment cart and proceed to Step 2.

When you are done adding classes to your cart, click the PROCEED TO STEP 2 0F 3 button.

  • Step 2: Confirm the classes you wish to add to your schedule.

If everything is correct, click the FINISH ENROLLING button to continue. If you need to make changes, return to Step 1 by clicking the Previous button.

  • Step 3: View the results of your enrollment requests.

Classes that were added to your schedule successfully, display with a green checkmark and a success message.  

Classes that were not added to your schedule display with a red 'X' and an error message.  Review any error messages for an explanation of why a class was not added.  

The Add process is now complete.  You can add another class, or view your class schedule.
